CRC 21-35 - Engineer Needs Review Consultant

The Canadian Red Cross (“CRC”) is soliciting information from industry so that it may select a service provider to review gaps across selected municipalities/ communities in technical and engineering advice related to disaster preparation and mitigation (including water crises). Bidders shall be based in Canada. CRC is looking at putting in place a short term 3-month agreement with the selected vendor.

CRC is inviting appropriately qualified and experienced external consultants to submit proposals for the following work: review gaps across selected municipalities/ communities in technical and engineering advice related to disaster preparation and mitigation (including water crises).
The Successful Bidder will focus on communities where CRC is currently working including those in the Community Assistance Team project in BC and the Athabasca Tribal Council project in AB.

Bidder Capabilities and Experience. Bidders will be expected to:

• Hold a relevant degree (engineering, architecture, etc.) and current professional registration in Canada;
• Demonstrate experience working with municipalities or communities in Canada, including experience working in Indigenous communities/government;
• Demonstrate experience working in the field of emergency management and/or response and;
• Demonstrate previous experience in undertaking similar evaluations.
• Previous experience working/volunteering with the Red Cross will be favorably received.
