The Canadian Red Cross (“CRC”) is committed to supporting affected individuals and communities impacted by disasters in Canada. The CRC recognizes that small business owners, trades, sole proprietors, and individuals practicing cultural livelihoods may also be vulnerable following a disaster. Real and insured losses, additional clean-up, extended absence of populations and the length of a recovery period in affected communities are all factors that threaten the livelihoods of small business owners, Indigenous peoples practicing cultural livelihoods, and community not-for-profits attempting to support these impacted groups. Without charitable assistance, such individuals may not be able to fully recover. The CRC Support to Small Business, Not-for-Profit, Organizations, and Indigenous Cultural Livelihoods Program (the “Program”) seeks to provide financial assistance to small business, not-for-profits, and Indigenous people practicing cultural livelihoods affected by mid to large-scale disasters in Canada. The Program focuses on uninsured losses incurred by business owners and Indigenous Peoples practicing cultural livelihoods as they begin the process of recovery as well as not-for-profits dealing with increased strain on their services and programs as a result of these events.
To assist in administering the Program, the CRC is seeking to select a service provider to build on, support, and advise on the administration of the Program (the “Services”).
Generally speaking, this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) seeks the following information:
- Respondent capabilities and expertise;
- Cost information for services.;
- Ideas and suggestions to optimize the customer service experience and program; and
- Identification of key performance indicators that will allow CRC staff to accurately monitor and evaluate the progress of the project.
