Description

The scope of this ITT covers the moving and rehousing of 73 artifacts (plus their associated
parts) from four leased storage facilities into the new C3 building. Most of these items will be
located on the ground floor, and some will be rehoused on levels 2 or 3. This work requires the
use of specialized equipment and expertise in heavy and oversized object moving and fragile
artifact moving, and in proper project planning and ensuring worker and bystander health, safety
and artifact/site security during such moves.
Some items will require partial assembly on site. These will be identified during the site visit.

A Mandatory site visit / bidders conference shall be held on Thursday, November 15,
2018 at 1:30PM local time in order that Bidders fully satisfy themselves with regards to the
scope of work and existing site conditions.

Where: LOCATION Canada Science & Technology Museum Site
Meet in front of: 2421 Lancaster Road (Door N-4)
Ottawa, ON K1B 4L5 by 1:20PM for sign-in

All Bidders MUST attend this VISIT / Conference to be eligible to submit a Bid. All
Bidders will be required to sign in as proof of attendance.

At the Site Visit/Job Showing, Bidders will be shown the extent / requirements of the Work
covered under this ITT.

Note that proponents must provide their own Personal Protective Equipment for the site
visit, including googles, steel toed boots, reflective vests, and hard hats.
