Description

The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to establish a short list of pre-qualified designers and fabricators that will be invited to submit proposals at the second stage. These firms should have capabilities in any of the following: digital projection, multimedia, technical devices, kinetics fixtures, or any other technology, apparatus or setup we are not aware of and that you want to suggest. We are looking for innovative firms that can provide exciting and engaging visual solutions for the vitrines at the Ingenium Centre. The visual solutions for the vitrines should allow the flexibility to update content when necessary.
Respondents must present in their response to this RFQ a Design/Build team. The complete evaluation criteria for this RFQ Submission are described below at 5.0.
This RFQ represents the first of a two (2) stage process. The purpose of this RFQ is to pre-qualify
suppliers who will be invited for the second stage that will be an RFP. Up to three (3) respondents having obtained the highest overall score will be placed on the list of Qualified Respondents that will be invited to participate in submitting a Proposal.
The second stage process will be a request for proposal for which we will ask for a design concept. The three (3) highest scoring proponents selected during the RFQ stage will be given $20,000.00 CND each to provide a design concept that will become propriety of INGENIUM. Proponents will also be asked to provide a work methodology, an explanation as to why they are confident that their design concept will be well suited for the visual result, a schedule for executing the work and a cost breakdown. The highest scoring firm will be awarded the design/build contract. The final budget (RFP) for the completion of the design/build work (including installation) is $440,000.00 CND (excluding all taxes).
