The Corporation has a requirement for ground transportation of mail, packages, and palletized goods by Full Truck Load (FTL), between Ontario, Quebec, and Western Canada. The intent of the Supply Arrangement (SA) is to establish a pool of pre-qualified transportation service providers who can provide tractors and 53' dry van trailers as required. Requirements include regularly scheduled Services, as well as but not limited to other types of services including ad hoc, contingency, peak, bypass, elections, census, projects, intermodal transportation, shunting, cross docking and yard space for trailer storage. The term of the SA(s) period will be for up to six years and subject to extension by the Corporation. The Corporation will use this pool of pre-qualified suppliers to solicit rates for future requirements throughout the term of the SA period. Service requirements to be issued under the SA will have varying specifications and effective Terms.
