Bruce Power is preparing to undertake a Major Component Replacement (MCR) project in Units 3-8. As part of the MCR program the feeder piping, fuel channels and calandria tubes of the Primary Heat Transport (PHT) system are to be replaced.
The technical specification is for the design, manufacturing and testing of the Reactor Maintenance Platform (RMP) required for supporting the Detube/Retube (DT/RT) manual work series, as well as lower feeder removal and installation, and new fuel load. The DT/RT manual work series will include channel closure removal, positioning assembly removal, feeder coupling disconnect.
The RMP is mounted to the fueling machine bridge and needs to be easily configurable to support the needs of the various series of work being done. The RMP will use the fueling machine bridge to drive up and down the reactor face and will be wide enough to access the entire face without having to move across the bridge.
The scope of work required to be completed by the successful Proponent is the detailed design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and supply of two identical RMPs.
