Bruce Power is currently seeking a General Contractor for the construction/Installation of its new Modular Office Complex /Utility Tie-in Installation works in Tiverton, Ontario.
The scope of works also includes but not limited to the demolition of its existing office building and associated tie-ins, new site works, foundation install etc as well as the assignment of an existing contract for Modular Building Fabrication and Supply.
To qualify as a General Contractor for this SOW, you must meet the following requirements:
1. Demonstrable experience as a general contractor executing projects of this scope (i.e. office building/facilities) in the range of $15M to $35M working to accelerated schedules;
2. General contractor experience on a nuclear site in Ontario, Canada within the last five years;
3. Proven experience in a unionized environment, particularly on EPSCA sites;
4. Proven experience, either directly or through a subcontractor vendor, working in the protected area of an Ontario nuclear power plant;
5. Qualified to ISO9001-05;
6. TSSA CofA holder as well as the capacity to complete pressure boundary field work, procure pressure boundary components/materials and have adequate qualified wear housing, etc available to do the associated work and finally experience creating permanent manufacturing records for Bruce Power..
The purpose of this Request for “Expression of Interest” is to determine, among other things, which potential suppliers have the capabilities, experience and innovation to be considered for invitation to participate in a formal request for proposal process for the Protected Area Office Complex New Modular Building Project scheduled for October 6th, 2017.
Interested vendors will be expected to sign an NDA with Bruce Power and be added to a Firmex dataroom where all RFP documents will be shared.
Bruce Power’s intent with this project is for the successful vendor(s) to provide economical, commercially viable construction solutions that meets the end users’ requirements.
