Bruce Power has deployed an enterprise search solution that provides our end user's the ability to search for and find specific content such as documents or data that are of interest. The data to populate the search index to query against is pulled in from a variety of data sources including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure SQL, Oracle SQL, File Shares, OpenText Content Server, Microsoft SharePoint and Maximo. While much of the data from these data sources is publicly accessible to all employees some require permissioning including access to user specific file shares and Maximo business objects.
Problem Statement
While the existing solution meets the basic needs for an enterprise search platform there are a number of technology gaps related to features/functionality that need to be filled in order to make it a more modern full featured enterprise search platform. This includes the pervasive use of AI as well as the ability to implement the solution either on-premise or in the cloud are also key requirements. With that in mind Bruce Power is looking for a partner/vendor to either augment or replace the current solution.
