BGIS Global Integrated Solutions Canada LP (BGIS) on behalf of the Infrastructure Ontario Corporation is inviting Contractors to submit Bids to provide construction services as detailed in BGIS’s Request for Tender.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Work of this Contract involves phased interior renovations and improvements to multiple existing office suites for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in the existing Ontario Government Complex located at 5520 Highway 101 East in South Porcupine, Ontario.
The scope of the phased interior renovation work on Levels 1 & 2 of the existing office building generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:
.1 “gut” demolition of existing interior finishes throughout, including masonry partitions (generally at core) and gypsum board partitions (generally at perimeter), suspended acoustic tile and gypsum board ceilings, as scheduled, or required to suit, including doors and frames;
.2 localized abatement of existing designated hazardous substances, as required, to suit;
.3 cutting and patching of existing reinforced suspended concrete floor slab assemblies, as required, to suit new plumbing installations;
.4 reinforcing of existing suspended reinforced concrete floor assemblies, as required, to suit new high density mobile storage (HDMS) system installation;
.5 construction of new sound attenuated, gypsum board partitions, as scheduled, to suit new office, washroom and support space configurations, extending from existing floor to underside of existing flor and/or roof assemblies, typical unless noted otherwise;
.6 installation of new extruded anodized aluminum door frames, screens and solid core wood doors within suites, as scheduled, including supply and installation of new finish hardware, as required to suit, and as indicated / scheduled;
.7 new interior finishes as scheduled, including but not limited to; carpet tile and base, sheet linoleum flooring, resilient base, acoustic ceiling tiles, ceramic wall and floor tile, and paint finishes throughout suite;
.8 supply and installation of new millwork throughout, as detailed;
.9 modifications to existing mechanical HVAC distribution systems including provision of additional components, as required, and/or scheduled, to suit new office suite and washroom layouts, including localized re-balancing of system within the suites;
.10 modifications to existing fire alarm system, as required, and/or scheduled, to suit new office suite layouts;
.11 installation of new electrical receptacles and voice / data outlets, including cabling and testing;
.12 installation of new lighting fixtures as scheduled;
.13 supply and installation of new high density mobile shelving systems (HDMS);
.14 coordination of the installation of new office furnishings, including modular workstations and case goods, to be supplied and installed by others;
.15 sequential move management, including disposal of existing furnishings and office contents not scheduled to be relocated / re-used; and
.16 coordination of the sequential / phased renovation phases to suit ongoing occupancy of the building including sequential commissioning and move management.
- TBS Clearances are required for site access
- Contractor is required to complete the CMMS forms as per Infrastructure Ontario Design & Commissioning Guidelines (Attached).
- For all Power Interruptions, Contractor is required to Complete the CRFC forms as per Infrastructure Ontario Guidelines. This must be submitted with a complete Method of Procedure. Power Shutdown/Interruption approval time is a minimum of 20 business days.
- General contractor to provide supervision for the delivery & installation of furniture & seating. Coordination with the stakeholders / clients / building occupants will be required.

A mandatory site visit and briefing will be held at 2:00:00 PM EST on January 9, 2018 at 5520 Hwy 101 E, South Porcupine, ON to discuss issues related to the RFT. (Failure to attend will result in disqualification).
Bids will be received no later than 14:00:00 local time on Tuesday, January 18, 2018. Late or misdirected Bids will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
