This RFP is an invitation by BC Housing Management Commission (“BC Housing”) to prospective Non-Profit Housing Societies to submit proposals for the provision of Supportive Housing Operator Services in Quesnel, BC in compliance with requirements of this RFP and Sample Operator Agreement (Appendix A).
The selected Proponent will provide property management services as well as on-site support services. Support services are intended to help Program Participants to achieve and maintain stability in housing and enhance access to other community based supports and services which help individuals build self-reliance and foster resilience against homelessness.
Housing and supports must be Program Participant focused accessible to all eligible Program Participants, regardless of ethno-cultural background, religious beliefs, disability, mental health status, gender identity or sexual orientation. A range of services must be available to ensure access for a diverse population and an atmosphere of dignity, compassion and respect maintained.
The selected Proponent must be aware of the nature, dynamics and impact of violence against women and work to create a safe and secure environment.
The selected Proponent will engage with Program Participants to assist them in identifying and pursuing their personal and housing goals. This includes providing resources and information to Program Participants on housing, health care, income and employment services.
