Co-Developing, Owning and Operating the Affordable Rental Housing

This RFP is an invitation by BC Housing Management Commission ("BC Housing") to prospective Non-Profit Housing Societies and to submit proposals for the provision of Operating Services, Co-development and Ownership of Affordable Rental Housing to be located at 2009-2037 Stainsbury Avenue, Vancouver, BC as further described in Appendix A1 - Sample Operating Agreement, Appendix A2 - City of Vancouver Sample Draft Land Lease Agreement, Appendix A3 - City of Vancouver Sample Development Agreement, and this RFP.

Project Objectives
The project's objective is to provide an affordable social housing project that contributes to market transformation, improving availability, acceptability, affordability of energy efficient and/or low-carbon building solutions in province.
In 2018, the City of Vancouver and City of Vienna signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen their collaboration to rapidly advance green buildings innovation in their respective cities. As a cornerstone of this collaboration, each city is developing a showcase low-carbon, affordable housing project.

The RFP timetable is tentative only and may be changed by BC Housing at any time.

Proposals are to be submitted in the format provided. Proposals must be in English. Pricing must be quoted in Canadian dollars and exclusive of taxes.
