IN SUBMITTING YOUR BID, PLEASE PROCEED AS FOLLOWS:
1. Separate the following portions from the Tender Documents:
(a) “Form of Tender”: Pages 12 to 17 inclusive
(b) “Agreement to Bond” Form: Page 18
2. Complete the “Form of Tender” in detail, as suggested, including signature, seal,
witness, date, unit prices, total prices, total estimated cost and estimated material and
labour cost.
3. Complete the “Agreement to Bond” form or facsimile and have it properly signed and
sealed by your proposed Surety. Note the requirement for a 100% Performance
Bond.
4. The Tender must be accompanied by a certified cheque or bid bond made payable to
the TOWN OF BANCROFT, equal to, or greater than, the amount shown in the Table, and must be enclosed in the same envelope as the Tender.
5. Your bid must be submitted in an envelope and include the following:
(a) “Form of Tender”: Pages 12 to 17 inclusive
(b) “Agreement to Bond” Form: Page 18
(c) Certified Cheque or Bid Bond as per above schedule.
6. CLOSING DATE
SEALED TENDERS, plainly marked: “Tender for Contract 01-2022, Hastings Street
Reconstruction“, will be received by the General Manager, Ms. Andrea Kauffeldt, at
her office, located at 8 Hastings Heritage Way, Bancroft, Ontario, until 11:00 a.m.
LOCAL TIME, Thursday April 28th, 2022.
NOTE: Opening of Tenders will occur in the Town Municipal Office on
Thursday April 28th, 2022, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Local Time.
To be valid, Tenders must be received by 11:00 a.m. this date. An in-person public
tender opening will not be held for this project. Any bidders wishing to be present via
desktop sharing software for the tender opening should contact the Clerk to be invited
to do so.
7. FORM OF TENDER
All tenders must be upon the blank form of tender attached hereto and the Tenderer is
required to fill all blanks. The Tender Form must be signed by an Officer of the
Company, designating his position and executed with the Company Seal. In the case
of an individual trading as a Company, the signature of the person signing the Tender
must be witnessed.
