Description

The Senior Information Security Specialist secures Algonquin College’s networking and computing environment by maintaining detailed knowledge and awareness of the cyber security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats; and then by applying that knowledge through regular security, assessments and audits; participation in committees; assisting with IT application and system development projects; and by maintaining a secure media destruction capability. The Senior Information Security Specialist participates in IT related projects and initiatives, architecting and developing solutions, and providing security advice and guidance to managers, employees, and contractors.
