DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
Humanities Wing Interior Renovation Project
Design and Construction Management requires General Contracting services for the interior renovation of approximately 540 m2 of offices and research spaces on the 2nd, 4th and 5th floor of the Humanities Wing, University of Toronto Scarborough. The renovation project also includes the replacement of the existing exterior glazing on the 5th floor.
Work included are as follows:

demolition and removal of existing partitions, mechanical, electrical and flooring and ceilings. It is anticipated that abatement will be completed prior to mobilization; however, contractor may encounter unforeseen asbestos.
Installation of new dry wall, doors & frames, interior glazing, millwork, lighting fixtures, power & data, HVAC and associated plumbing work and the provision of new exterior glazing.

The procurement will not involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

The submissions will not be opened publicly.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation:
Proponents must achieve a minimum score of 70% of each rated criteria category, 1 through 3.
Proponents will adhere to the University of Toronto General Labour Conditions

APPLICABLE TRADE AGREEMENTS
This procurement is subject to the following trade agreement(s):
The Canadian Free Trade Agreement, Chapter Five
The Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement, Chapter 9]

CONTRACT DETAILS
One time only purchase of services for specified scope of work.
Milestone schedule:
The contractor shall commence work upon receipt of written notification of award and substantially complete by June 15th 2020. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the University.

An additional walk through for the General Contractors and their Mechanical Contractors has been added for Wednesday January 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Contractors are to meet inside the main Science Wing Doors on Level 3 by the elevators, 1265 Military Trail, Toronto, ON M1C 1A4.
This is not a mandatory site visit, but attendance is strongly recommended.

Revised Mechanical drawings/specifications will be issued immediately after this site visit.
