This Request for Tender (“RFT”) is an invitation by Facilities Management, University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) on behalf of the Governing Council of the University of Toronto (the “University”) to prospective bidders to submit Tenders for the provision of the Heating System Demolition Package as further described in this document.  The selected bidder pursuant to the RFT will be required to provide a team of qualified personnel to deliver the required services and within the specified time frame.
 
UTSC is constantly working towards delivering efficient and quality service to all staff/student/faculty in the university community.  UTSC’s main heating plant is located in the power house which is based in the heart of the UTSC campus, the Science Wing. Within the plant, there are currently five main boilers which provides steam and hot water to the campus for both space and domestic hot water heating. Two of the five boilers are 50 year old Foster Wheeler 30klb/hr water tube boilers which are approaching the end of their service life. Furthermore, adjacent to the Foster Wheeler boilers are four Armstrong hot water tanks that store and maintain hot water for domestic use throughout campus. Two of the four tanks (Or all four tanks as stated in Option #2 and #4) are to be removed. UTSC would like to have them removed and demolished completely to make room for future equipment installations.

Time-Frame for Delivery/Duration of Agreement:
Completion by July 20, 2018.
 
Negotiation:
At the end of the evaluation process, the University of Toronto Scarborough may identify one or more bidders with whom it wishes to enter into negotiations, by written notification.
 
Responses must be submitted in English.
