DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
Design, Supply, Delivery and Installation of Cantilevered Metal Library Shelving System
The University of Toronto, Scarborough (UTSC) Design and Construction Management department seek a supplier to provide all design services, equipment, materials, labour, and delivery required to complete the installation of a painted steel tube structure shelving system for the UTSC library located in the Academic Resource Centre (ARC) building. The system is to include end panels with a high-pressure laminate finish, as well as integrated LED lighting for all shelves.
The procurement may involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

on or before August 26, 2022 at 2:00:00 p.m. local time.
The submissions will not be opened publicly.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation: Proponents must achieve a minimum score of 70% on the technical submission (items 1, 2, and 3 of the evaluation criteria, listed below).
Proponents will adhere to the University of Toronto General Labour Conditions.

This procurement is subject to the following trade agreement(s):
The Canadian Free Trade Agreement, Chapter Five
The Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement, Chapter 9

CONTRACT DETAILS
One time only purchase of services for specified scope of work.
Milestone schedule:
Library space will be available for installation starting December 21, 2022.
Full completion by January 6, 2023.

Event Note

The University will be conducting an optional Proponents Meeting.
The optional Proponents Meeting will be held on July 6, 2022 at 9:30 am.
Proponents are to meet the Project Manager inside the main entrance to the Science Wing on Level 3 (by the elevators) at the University of Toronto Scarborough, 1265 Military Trail, Toronto, ON M1C 1A4.

Attendees are to strictly adhere to all current COVID-19 protocols, (if any) while on campus. The University’s current mask requirement current mask requirement will be lifted as of July 1, 2022, subject to any changes in public health guidance. Some members of our community may choose to continue to wear a mask after July 1. We ask everyone to respect each other’s decisions, comfort levels, and health needs.
Since the Proponents Meeting will be held on a construction site, all attendees are required to wear CSA approved hard hats and safety boots. If an attendee does not have the required personal protection equipment (PPE), they may not be allowed to access the construction site
The optional Proponents Meeting is intended for Proponents to carefully examine the site and note the conditions affecting the work prior to the Submission Deadline.
