UTM 2017-18-09 - Professional Services Putnam Residence Renovation

This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by Facilities Management and Planning Department at the University of Toronto Mississauga on behalf of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto (the “University”) to prospective Proponents  to  submit  Proposals  for  the  provision  of full range of consulting services (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, others as required) to support the renovation of Putnam Place Residence as well as design and construction of a new 1800 sq. ft one storey, student community centre with laundry facilities.

The outcome of long –range planning exercise in 2016 by Student Housing & Residence Life was Focus 15: Student Housing Master Plan. The final Focus 15 report incorporated a number of recommendations and supporting material provided by external consultants , including
 
1.         Need for Facility Improvement in the townhouses.
2.         Enhance community space and laundry facilities in the townhouses
           
Putnam Place laid out in four blocks around a central court, is a 100-bed (25 unit x 4 bed) townhouse phase built in 1983.  It is approximately 33,411 gross square foot in area.  Putnam Place is the first phase of renovations from the Focus 15: Student Housing Master Plan.
