DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
This Request for Tender issued by the Facilities Management and Planning, at the University of Toronto Mississauga on behalf of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto is an open call to prospective bidders to submit Tenders for the provision of General Contractor Services for the CC 4128 Laboratory Renovation project.
 
One of the suites (CC 4128) on CCT Building’s 4th floor is currently vacant and is suitable to fulfill the research needs. Suite CC 4128 will need renovation in order to accommodate research. Planned for CC 4128 will be a research lab consisting of two (2) experiment rooms, a work area for students and a waiting area for participants. In addition, the storage room (CC 4137), located across from the lab suite, will be converted into a lab support space.  A private office on the same floor in the east wing and will share various shared psychology spaces on this floor as well.

The submissions will not be opened publicly.
 
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation:
Pass / Fail Site Visit – February 19, 2019 @ 10:00 AM Local Time. 
 
Meeting Location: Recreation and Wellness Centre (RAWC) - Main Entrance Lobby, U of T Mississauga Campus, 3359 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario L5L 1C6. 
 
Note: On Campus location is 1825 Outer Circle.

The site visit is intended for bidders to carefully examine the site and note the conditions affecting the work prior to the Tender submission. Bidders are encouraged to invite sub-contractors. Alternative date will not be provided for the Site Visit.
 
In addition to the factors set out in RFT Section 6.3(2)(a) and 6.3(2)(b), the University will evaluate the Tenders based on the following additional factors:

CONTRACT DETAILS

The contractor shall commence work upon receipt of written notification of award. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the University.
