University of Toronto Mississauga, Facilities Management & Planning, Utilities Division is seeking proposals from Proponents for Elevating Device Maintenance Services and Compliance for the twenty four (24) elevating devices on campus located in the following 13 buildings Communication, Culture, and Technology (C.C.T.), Erindale Hall, Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre (R.A.W.C.), Oscar Peterson Hall (O.P.H.), Innovation Centre,Kaneff Centre Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre & Library (A.L.C. ), Instructional Centre, Deerfield Hall, Terrence Donnelly Health Sciences Complex.
The University requires a contractor to carry out regular/monthly elevating device maintenance, across the University Campus. The campus consists of ten academic/administrative buildings, three residence apartment buildings, four townhouse complexes, a child care centre and a student centre. The contractor shall perform the services in accordance with applicable laws, codes and regulatory bodies. Service hours are between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM Monday to Friday (Excluding University Closures or Statutory Holidays). All City of Mississauga bylaws must be adhered to in the provision of the service sought.

Time-Frame for Delivery/Duration of Agreement :
The selected Proponent (s) will be requested to enter into negotiations for an agreement with the University for the provision of the Deliverables in the form attached as Appendix A to the RFP. It is the University’s intention to enter into the Form of Agreement based on that attached as Appendix A to the RFP. Multiple buildings and elevators are required and it is the intention of the University to award by category to one or more Proponent(s). Proponents may choose to bid on all or some of the specific categories as further described in the RFP. The term of the Agreement is to be for a period of Three (3) years with an option in favour of the University to extend the Agreement for two (2) additional one (1) year terms for a potential total term of five (5) years. It is anticipated that the agreement will be executed on or around May 2018.
The University reserves the right in its sole discretion to defer any agreement or to cancel this RFP at any time before or after closing without providing reasons for such cancellation.

Negotiation:
At the end of the evaluation process, the University of Toronto may identify one or more suppliers with whom it wishes to enter into negotiations, by written notification.
Electronic Auction:
The process does not involve an electronic auction.
