DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
This Request for Tender (“RFT”) is an invitation by Facilities Management and Planning, at the University of Toronto Mississauga (“UTM”) on behalf of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto (the “University”) to prospective bidders to submit Tenders for the provision of DV 1114 Office Renovation in the First Floor of William. G. Davis Building in UTM Campus at 3359 Mississauga Road, Mississauga.

The procurement is not anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

ADDRESS AND FINAL DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS
Submissions must be submitted electronically at https://utoronto.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/19451 on or before 18 December, 2018 @ 2:00:00 PM local time.

The submissions will not be opened publicly.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation:

Mandatory Site Visit – 5 December, 2018 @ 10:00 AM Eastern Time. Meeting Location: Meet at UTM William G. Davis Building Main Entrance Level next to Tim Hortons - William G. Davis Building, University of Toronto Mississauga Campus, 3359 Mississauga Rd., Mississauga, ONT, L5L 1C6. http://map.utoronto.ca/utm/building/313. The site visit is intended for bidders to carefully examine the site and note the conditions affecting the work prior to the Tender submission. Bidders are encouraged to invite sub-contractors. Alternative date will not be provided for the Site Visit.
Insurance Certificate re: $5M General Liability and $5M Automotive (Umbrella)
WSIB Certificate of Clearance
Surety re: 50% Performance Bond, 50% Labour and Material Bond
Conform with all GENERAL LABOUR CONDITIONS outlined in Appendix A.

CONTRACT DETAILS
Milestone Schedule:
The contractor shall commence work upon receipt of written notification of award and substantially complete by 22 March, 2019 the contractor shall coordinate all work with the University and ensure the least amount of disturbance to the occupants of the building.

All Shop Drawings and Submittals (first submission) to be submitted to UTM / Consultants by 9 January, 2019
Construction Schedule to be submitted to UTM / Consultants by 9 January, 2019
Construction kick off- 9 January, 2019 10:00AM
Earliest Start Date for Demolition work – 14 January, 2019
Substantial Completion – Construction – 22 March, 2019
Client move in- 1 April, 2019
