DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
This Request for Tender issued by the Facilities Management and Planning, at the University of Toronto Mississauga on behalf of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto is an open call to prospective bidders to submit Tenders for the provision of LV Switchgear Upgrade at the UTM Central Utilities Plant.

The Central Utilities Plant (CUP) Building is the one of the oldest buildings on the UTM campus. Original constructed in the late 1960’s this building is home to the medium voltage electrical switchgear, central emergency generating plant, steam boiler plant, and chiller plant which provide building services to 80% of the buildings on the UTM campus. This building operates on a 24x7 operating cycle.

Your submission must be uploaded, submitted, and finalized prior to the Closing Time of May 02, 2019 2:00 PM EST. We strongly recommend that you give yourself sufficient time and at least ONE (1) day before Closing Time to begin the uploading process and to finalize your submission.
The submissions will not be opened publicly.

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation:
Pass / Fail Site Visit – 17 April, 2019 @ 10:00 AM Local Time. 

Meeting Location: Central Utilities Plant - Main Entrance Area (Outside), U of T Mississauga Campus, 3359 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario L5L 1C6. 

Note: On Campus location is 1630 Outer Circle.

The site visit is intended for bidders to carefully examine the site and note the conditions affecting the work prior to the Tender submission. Alternative date will not be provided for the Site Visit.

In addition to the factors set out in RFT Section 6.3(2)(a) and 6.3(2)(b), the University will evaluate the Tenders based on the following additional factors:

CONTRACT DETAILS

The contractor shall commence work upon receipt of written notification of award. The contractor shall coordinate all work with the University.
