REQUEST FOR SERVICES (RFS) 2019-01
Due to a high volume of projects, and initiatives, the Toronto Police Service, Purchasing Unit is looking for a temporary Procurement Specialist to assist with various assignments.
Responses must be submitted through MERX Electronic Bid Submission (“EBS”) System, the electronic tendering systems used by TPS.

Respondents are to submit through the EBS their response prior to 1:00:00 P.M. EBS time on Wednesday May 15th, 2019.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the specialist role is to promote the most effective use of Municipal funds in the acquisition of all material, equipment and/or services for the TPS all in accordance with the TPS Financial By-law and procedures. The specialist will be well versed in the ethics, industry standards, legalities, best practices and procedures in public procurement.
- The candidate must have experience working in a Public Procurement or Broader Public Service Environment (example: Municipality, Hospital, School Board, Provincial, Federal)
The term of the contract is for a period of 6 months, commencing July 2nd to December 31, 2019, pending successful security background checks. The TPS reserves the right to extend this contract for one additional six month term, and could include month to month extensions beyond the 6 months subject to satisfactory performance, budget availability, and services still required.
