Request for Proposal (RFP) RFP # 1295458 -18 TPS is accepting submissions for the provision of Electrical Repairs, Renovations and Modifications at Toronto Police Service Facilities.
Submission Requirements
Electronic submissions will be accepted until 1:00:00 P.M. Thursday, December 20, 2018 Local Time. as per the clock identified on MERX.
Your submission for this opportunity must be sent to TPS through the use of the MERX portal. Respondents shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their submission using the MERX portal by the time and closing date, in accordance with the Submission Requirements outlined in the RFP.
NOTE: Pricing to be submitted/uploaded as a separate document from technical (i.e. non-pricing) submission.
TPS reserves the right to reject any or all responses at its sole discretion.
Scope of Work
This Request for Proposal, issued by the Toronto Police Service (TPS), is to obtain a Vendor of Record (VOR) for the provision of electrical and data repairs, renovations and modifications throughout the TPS Facilities. Proponents submitting proposals shall have completed work similar in type and scope, and shall be able to refer to specific work of a comparable nature.
The VOR will be invited to submit cost estimates/budget on a project to project basis as required for the electrical repair, renovation and modification requirements. Individual estimates/budget submitted will be subject to review by the TPS before commencement of any Work
The TPS will issue Purchase Orders, where appropriate and/or a Blanket Purchase Order for the provision of services.
Mandatory Requirements
Proponents must provide a copy with their submission of valid and up-to-date documentation in support of:
- City of Toronto Licence Number, appropriate for the type of work involved.
- Certificate of Clearance indicating that your company is in good standing with the WSIB.
- Certificate(s) of Insurance confirming insurance requirements as outlined in Appendix H, Section 13.
- 5-years’ experience working on standard commercial electrical wiring systems.
- A letter confirming compliance and familiarity with the Toronto Fair Wage Policy.
- Evidence of Panduit Certification.
- Copy of your firms OH & S policy and associated procedures as described in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Requirement of Master Electrician.
Contract Term
The Term of this contract for the provision of services shall be for a period of three (3) years commencing on April 1, 2019 and ending on March 31, 2022. The TPS reserves the right to terminate the agreement on 60-days written notice should the Successful Service Provider fail to provide the required services on time and at a competitive price. The Successful Service Provider shall not assign or sub-contract any part of this contract to a third party without the prior written approval of the TPSB. The TPS reserves the right to extend the contract for an additional two (2) one (1) year term.
Piggyback (if applicable)
The TPS may, upon request, permit other publicly funded organizations to purchase against any contract which may result from this RFP.
Proponents are requested to indicate on the Pricing Submission Form if they will extend the pricing, terms and conditions of this proposal to other government agencies, if the proponent is the successful vendor. If the successful proponent agrees to this provision, participating agencies may enter into a contract with the successful proponent for the purchase of the services described herein based on the terms, conditions, prices, and percentages offered by the successful vendor. Minor changes in terms and conditions may be negotiated by participating agencies.
