2017-LS-152 - Visible-NIR Fluorescence Spectrometer

SFU is seeking a standalone spectrometer which includes excitation source, sample chamber, and detection with the required hardware and computer interface for data acquisition and analysis.
 
The spectrometer should be able to measure emission spectra of liquids, solids and thin-films in the visible and near-infrared (NIR) spectral regions, at a range of temperatures, and should be able to determine accurate quantum yields of both liquid, solid-state, and thin film samples, and measure phosphorescence lifetimes over the complete spectral range. The instrument should be compatible with broad research use by a range of different researchers in chemistry, physics, materials science and analytical biochemistry, but with a focus on solid-state and thin-film materials.  A high sensitivity over the whole spectral range, but particularly in the NIR, is important.

SFU’s maximum budget is $145,126 CAD including all taxes, duties, brokerage fees, shipping, and training.
