The Strand Hall Building (SH3000) is located on the Burnaby Mountain campus of Simon Fraser University. Level 3000 is the top floor of the building, accessible by a loading dock and freight elevator. SH3000 is currently undergoing a renovation with a target substantial completion for the tenant improvement in June 2020.
The purpose of this process is to provide new, functional, institutional quality and durable furnishings for the newly renovated SH3000 space. The 21,000SF administrative space comprises of 47 private offices, 1 shared office, 40 open workspaces, 9 meeting rooms, 2 kitchenettes, reception area, storage, supply and copier rooms and a lunch room lounge.
Occupancy date is targeted in July 2020. Furniture installation must complete by July 17, 2020.
The Proponent shall provide full service including design, manufacture, delivery, assembly, installation and connection to power and data, adjustment of the furniture package, including full parts and labour warranty service. Establish service level agreement for ongoing post-construction support and develop furniture catalogue with unit prices and furniture renderings with specified model, finishes and dimensions for future addition or modifications within the space.
The outcome of this RFP process is to short-list a number of top proponents for further evaluation through a review of combined rated-type criteria. Short-listed proponents will be contacted to arrange an interview and demonstration of the proposed product(s) at their show-room(s) for the selection committee.
