Description

This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by Simon Fraser University (“SFU”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Contractor services for SFU McTaggart Cowan Hall Roof Replacement Project .
McTaggart Cowan Hall (MCH) is a student residence complex at SFU’s Burnaby Campus consisting of 201 suites. The building is of cast-in-place concrete construction and was constructed circa 1986.
The project is to replace the existing main upper conventional 2-ply SBS modified asphalt roofing assembly located on the East, Central and West buildings. The residence buildings will be occupied during the work and maintaining indoor air quality and good noise control in a live building is paramount. The work is to be performed to accommodate the student resident occupancy timeline. The work is scheduled to commence no later than June 1, 2020, must be Substantially Complete by September 30, 2020, and the site demobilized/vacated by October 15, 2020.
