This Request for Proposals is an invitation by Simon Fraser University to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Architect/Prime Consultant Services including services of Sub-Consultants for First Peoples Gathering House (or FPGH) , as further described in this RFP, at SFU’s Burnaby campus address at 8888 University Drive, Burnaby, BC.
The proposed SFU First Peoples Gathering House will be a gathering place where First Peoples students, staff and faculty can come together to practice, learn and share in their cultural traditions. Anchored by a Great Hall, the First Peoples Gathering House will be a place where cultural events, celebrations and workshops can be held for the First Peoples and campus-wide community.
The Architect/Prime Consultant and its sub-consultants will be retained to provide professional services to design, tender and oversee contract administration to project close out. The Architect/Prime Consultant shall provide advice on the evaluation and selection of other specialty consultants to be engaged by the Client. The Architect/Prime Consultant shall be responsible for, engaging, managing and coordinating all consultants throughout the Project as necessary. The Project is expected to be completed in Fiscal Year 2023/24.
