Description

This Request for Proposals is an invitation by Simon Fraser University to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Architect/Prime Consultant Services including services of Sub-Consultants for SFU Gibson Art Museum, as further described in this RFP, at SFU’s Burnaby campus address at 8888 University Drive, Burnaby, BC.

Honouring the legacy gift of Marianne and Edward Gibson and family the proposed SFU Gibson Art Museum on the SFU Burnaby Campus will be a new stand alone building, located directly east of Strand Hall along the ceremony axis.

The Architect/Prime Consultant and its sub-consultants will be retained to provide professional services to design, tender and oversee contract administration to project close out. The Architect/Prime Consultant shall provide advice on the evaluation and selection of other specialty consultants to be engaged by the Client. The Prime Consultant shall be responsible for, engaging, managing and coordinating all consultants throughout the Project as necessary.

The project is expected to be completed in late 2023/early 2024.
