This Request for Proposals is an invitation by Simon Fraser University to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Architect/Prime Consultant Services including services of Sub-Consultants for McTaggart Cowan Hall Envelope Renewal – Phase 2 , as further described in this RFP, at SFU’s Burnaby campus address at 8888 University Drive, Burnaby, BC.
McTaggart Cowan Hall (MCH) is a student residence complex at SFU’s Burnaby Campus consisting of 201 suites. The building is of cast-in-place concrete construction and was constructed circa 1986. The MCH residential complex is a single building, however the building form comprises three distinct masses marked by stepped changes in plane along the north and south elevations. They are referred to as the East, Central, and West buildings.
The Architect/Prime Consultant and its sub-consultants will be retained to provide professional services to design, tender and oversee contract administration to project close out. The Architect/Prime Consultant shall provide advice on the evaluation and selection of other specialty consultants to be engaged by the Client . The Prime Consultant shall be responsible for, engaging, managing and coordinating all consultants throughout the Project as necessary.
