Description

Leased small Cargo Vans, light-duty Trucks, and other Utility Vehicles for use by on-campus tradespeople.

The term of the agreement is to be for a period of up to sixty (60) months, with an option in favour of SFU to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for additional two (2) terms of up to twelve (12) months each.

SFU’s budget for this purchase is $43,000 per year; inclusive of all acquisition and maintenance costs for the duration of the lease, excluding tax.

The current fleet of vehicles (see Attachment 1 - Replacement Plan) are SFU owned and maintained via on-site certified mechanic and as needed off-site automotive dealership service departments.

SFU is now seeking to leasing vehicles.
It’s SFU’s preference that our on-site mechanic be permitted to complete tire rotations, oil changes, radiator fluid maintenance, exhaust repair/replacement, and brake service, without voiding the warranty.

SFU is moving towards electric vehicles by 2025, so preference may be given to offers of hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
