RFP 2017-AC-158 - Job Evaluation Methodology for Administrative and Professional Positions

This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by Simon Fraser University (“SFU”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Job Evaluation Methodology for Administrative & Professional Positions.

SFU’s Compensation team is responsible for all job evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with AD policies 9.6 and 10.6 for Administrative and Professional (A&P) positions (both staff association and excluded).  The policies do not define the method of evaluation but require that a formal process and job evaluation system exist to determine relative value of jobs.  The policies also require salary administration that is based upon duties being performed, employee performance and salaries paid in the outside job market. The Compensation team is also responsible to ensure adherence to the fundamental tenants of public sector accountability principles.  Decisions must be objective, transparent, and equitable.
