Description

SFU invites submissions from qualified, unionized (affiliated with IBEW Local 213) electrical contractors only, to undertake general electrical renovations and improvements, each project valued at a maximum of $ 25,000, as well as respond to emergency electrical repair if requested by the SFU Electrical Superintendent or his designate. This RFP process is intended to establish a single electrical service provider that would be responsible for the specified scope of work.
SFU’s annual spend on these services, based on the average of the last three complete fiscal years, is approximately $1.5 million. This is an estimate only and not a firm commitment on behalf of SFU. SFU will request electrical services “on an as and when required basis”.
The successful proponent will be expected to take ownership of the electrical scope in order to complete various projects with the project schedule as admistrated by internal superintendents, project managers, energy managers, or supervisors.

Proponents are encouraged to send their critical key personnel that will be responsible for running/managing this service at SFU to this session.
Attendance at this session and site visit is not mandatory, but highly encouraged. RVSP is highly recommended.
Proponents are encouraged to watch an online video of the XPD or “Expertise Driven” process prior to attending the pre-proposal session to obtain a general understanding of the process.
