SFU has a requirement for a high temperature chemical vapor deposition system for growing 2D electronic materials. The system must be capable of heating the substrate to a temperature of 1000 C. The system must be compatible with the existing cluster-tool produced by MVSystems Inc., which includes the following requirements: the sample wafers must have a face down orientation, have substrate receiving bars to accept carriers with a size of 120mm x 120mm x 0.7 mm, substrate receiving that accepts carriers from a robot arm paddle.
It is SFU’s intention to award a contract to Structured Materials Industries (SMI) Inc.
This purchase is funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and the British Columbia provincial government. As of the issuing date of this ACAN an application for the funds has been approved. All purchases pertaining to this research project are subject to availability of funds associated with this project.
An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that SFU intends to award a contract for goods, services, or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a Statement of Capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the submission deadline stated in the ACAN, SFU may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier. If other potential suppliers submit Statements of Capabilities during the posting period, and meet the requirements set out in this ACAN, SFU may proceed to a Request for Proposal process.
