Description

This Invitation to Tender ("ITT") is an invitation by Simon Fraser University (“SFU”) to prospective proponents to submit Tenders for Upgrades and Culvert Rehabilitations of South Campus Road on SFU Burnaby campus.

SFU is a comprehensive public university located in British Columbia, Canada. Established in 1965, SFU has been ranked as one of Canada’s top three comprehensive universities for nearly 20 years.

Scope of Work includes but is not limited to the installation of approximately:
• Concrete Works: 1700m of Concrete Curbs, and 1500m2 of Concrete Sidewalk
• Roadway Lighting
• Common Excavation of Native Fills: Reuse on site – 4000m3; Offsite Disposal – 1000m3;
• Importation of 8000 Tonnes of Granular Material;
• Placement of 3000 Tonnes of Asphalt Concrete Paving;
• CIPP Relining of 2 CSP Culverts (43m of 900mm Ø, and 77m of 600mm Ø);
• Replacement of 1 Road Culvert Crossing with a 600mm Ø Concrete Pipe;
• Installation of 27 Concrete Catch Basins;
• General Landscaping Improvements, Including the Importation of Approximately 800m3 of Topsoil

The Contract is based on the MMCD Platinum Edition.

Prospective Tenderers attending the Site Visit shall meet at the entrance to the Facilities Services Building, SFU Burnaby campus, BC.

Failure to attend all or part of the Site Visit will be sufficient basis for disqualification. Despite the foregoing, the Owner may waive this requirement, or any failure or other discrepancy in regard to the Site Visit for one or more Bidders, as the Owner may elect.
