OVERVIEW OF REQUIREMENTS
The RCM Winnipeg location requires service for Landscaping and Snow Removal for a period of three (3) years with a provision to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms. Vendors will have the option to bid on either the landscaping scope of work, the snow removal scope of work or both.
PART I-Landscaping
The vendor will supply all material, labour and equipment required to maintain the RCM Winnipeg grounds at 520 Lagimodiere Blvd. including the grass areas along Number 1 Highway and Lagimodiere Blvd., in a neat and well-groomed condition satisfactory to the RCM. The property is 54.6 hectares, which includes the building, roads and parking, grassland, forest, and two (2) ponds.
General tasks to include:
- Spring & Fall Cleaning
- Flags, Banners & Signage Maintenance
- Refuse & Litter Control
- Lawn Maintenance
- Tree Maintenance
- Shrub Maintenance
- Flower Bed Maintenance
- Lake Shore Maintenance
- Pest and Disease Control
- Watering
- Monitor, Control & Repair Irrigation System
- Patio, Water Fountain, & Furniture Maintenance
PART II-Snow Removal
The vendor shall supply all necessary equipment required for snow clearing and sanding operations. The roads and parking lots are approximately 3 hectares.
General tasks to include:
- Winter Preparation & Spring Cleaning/Repairs
- Flags, Banners & Signage Maintenance
- Refuse & Litter Control
- Areas to be cleared of snow shall include all pedestrian pathways, roadways and parking lot areas.
- Areas around fire hydrants, fire/emergency exits and car plugs shall be kept clear of snow and accessible.
- Overnight snowfall or wind-drifted snow shall be cleared from all areas prior to 7:00 AM.
- The contractor shall spread sand or crushed granite to roadway surfaces as required and upon request.
- All requests for snow clearing or sanding service shall be answered with 2 hours.
