Description

OVERVIEW OF REQUIREMENTS
The Royal Canadian Mint is requesting quotations for two (2) CNC Lathe Machines with integrated automation to form a continuous machining cell that would meet the following minimum requirements:

Fully automated, turn key machining cell capable of “lights out machining” (does not require continuous operator attention)
Capable of machining O1 and A2 tool steel
Capable of accepting maximum diameter parts of 50.8 mm and lengths of 20 - 50 mm
C-axis accuracy of 0.001 degrees with indexing axis synchronization between main and sub spindle
Collet chucks and adapters required
Poly-sided machining capability
Tool load monitoring automated tool change and/or cycle count tool change equivalent for lights out machining
Programming and accessories for automated part loading device
Automatic dimensional verification of part length and diameter
G code programming language and Gibbscam post processor
All equipment to be CSA approved
