This RFP is an invitation to submit offers for the provision of a Student Award Software System inclusive of implementation, training and on-going maintenance. Award Programs are vital for attracting students to RDC and retaining them throughout their academic career. RDC is seeking a modernized, comprehensive platform that provides the tools to effectively fund and administer the Awards Program and allows for future growth.
RDC’s Office of the Registrar, Student Services department (previously known and operating as Student Funding and Awards), is responsible for the successful management, selection, and disbursement of all awards at RDC. Working closely with Enterprise and Community Relations, the Student Services department currently processes approximately 482 awards with 1,050 recipients annually, and interacts with over 7,181 students. RDC’s awards program continues to grow significantly each year, creating the demand for a new system to sufficiently meet our needs. There will be a significant impact on our systems this fiscal year as RDC moves to Banner 9 and as the current support for Oracle forms ends. In order to reduce the impact on resources, and to make the current system compatible with Banner 9, a new software solution is required.
The term of the agreement is to be for a period of three (3) years with an option in favour of RDC to extend the agreement on the same or similar terms and conditions for an additional two (2) year term. It is anticipated that the agreement will commence on September 17, 2018.
Proposals received will be evaluated via a four stage method in which the highest ranked proponent will be invited to enter negotiations with RDC.
