Description

Notice is hereby given by the City of Port Alberni (CPA) of its intent to contract with Engineered Air for the purchase of a Desiccant Dehumidifier as part of the Dehumidifier Replacement and Energy Recovery project.

Vendor: Engineered Air
Goods provided: To Purchase and Deliver:
• One Desiccant Dehumidifier (Model HE/DWD500/C/O/MV)
Value: The value of the contract to be awarded is expected to be $334,600 FOB Plant, freight included to jobsite curb, all taxes extra

Rationale: The existing desiccant dehumidifier at the Alberni Valley Multiplex is at end of life and is struggling to effectively dehumidify the arena space. The City of Port Alberni believes this is the only vendor that can supply this custom unit to fit the existing rooftop layout while providing the required dehumidification performance to effectively control the arena humidity, and under a challenging timeline.

Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection to the attention of Kelly DeClercq by email prior to 2:00pm local time on November 1, 2024. No challenges will be accepted after this time.
