Project Information:
The Louis St-Laurent Building located at 555 Boulevard de la Carrière, Gatineau, Quebec is an office
building formerly occupied by DND until a fire on April 21st, 2016 rendered the building unstable and
unsafe for occupation. Along with water and smoke damage a portion of the roof collapsed leaving
the building exposed to the environment. The scope of this project is to repair and restore the building.
This building has suffered extensive fire damage. Mold, dioxin and furan contaminated ash and soot,
asbestos and other contaminants are also present in the building at various levels.

General Description of Work:
For a more detailed scope of work, refer to the Instructions to Bidders, Section 00 21 13 of this Tender
Package.

Bid Closing:
The closing time and date is scheduled as July 11th 2018 before 2:00pm EST. Submit tenders as
directed by the Instruction to Bidders Section 00 21 13 of this Tender Package.

Site Visit:
A mandatory site visit has been scheduled on June 27th 2018 at 10:00am EST at the following
location: 555 de la Carrière boulevard, Gatineau. Please confirm the names of the people attending
the site visit by e-mail to Marie-Josée Laplante (email: mj.laplante@pomerleau.ca) before June 26th
2018 at 12pm EST. The Individual must also have their own PPE. Each individual must wear safety
boots, hard hat, safety glasses, Tyvek suit and P-100 half mask. Tyvek suits and filter cartridges for
half masks are available at the site entrance. A valid fit test certification for half masks must be
presented before entering the site. Under request, Pomerleau can provide fit test certifications the
morning before the site visit. No facial hair/clean shaved is required to wear a mask and have a fit test.
