Description

The University of Ottawa is seeking quotations from equipment suppliers (Proponents) to provide a
complete Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system for the Advance Research Complex (ARC)
building’s AMS Laboratory. ARC is occupied by research laboratories and belongs to Faculty of
Engineering and Science. The AMS lab is a sensitive area because any power quality issue affects the
lab significantly and impacts not only the research equipment but also the research potentially resulting
in the loss of samples at the cost of tens of thousands of dollars. It has been confirmed that the AMS
lab has frequent outages of their main equipment due to external transients on the utility supply
system.
The purpose of this RFQ is to provide a UPS system for the AMS lab to address the power quality of
entire AMS lab system including the 3 MV and mini radiocarbon dating system (MICADAS) equipment.
Proponents must meet the specifications identified in Appendix D - Specification Requirements.

a. Proof of Insurance Coverage (See Appendix C – Form of Agreement)
b. Completed and signed Submission Form - Appendix A
c. Completed and signed Bid Form - Appendix B

Power Supply Pre-Purchase in the subject line by July 13th, 2022 before 3:00:00 pm local time, as determined by the date and time of receipt of the electronic submission by the University.
