The University of Ottawa is pleased to invite qualified proponents to submit a proposal for a nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectrometer console and robotic tuning controller to support research programs on (i) the characterization of materials using solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) observables and on (ii) electrocatalysts and photocatalysts with environmental applications.
We require a dedicated nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) spectrometer console and associated ancillary equipment including power amplifier, preamplifier, computer and software, probe(s), and autotuning controller. The instrument should be capable of recording NQR spectra across a broad frequency range which covers a wide variety of nuclear isotopes. Autotuning capabilities and variable temperature capabilities are critical considerations.
