Ryerson University carrying on business as Toronto Metropolitan University (“The University”) has a requirement to procure services from the Supplier to expand the Library’s provision and promotion of LaTeX education and support for the University’s LaTeX users. LaTeX is a command-driven document preparation system that follows a write-format-preview cycle and is widely used in the scientific community for its ability to separate content from style and typeset complex mathematical equations. The Library promotes learning, supports teaching, and enhances scholarly, research and creative activities by providing expert services and innovative access to information.
The purpose of this Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to signal The University’s intention to award a contract for the above-noted goods and/or services to the following pre-selected Supplier:

Prior to awarding this contract, The University is providing other potential Suppliers with the opportunity to demonstrate that they are capable of satisfying the requirements as per this ACAN, by submitting a Statement of Capabilities during the posting period.
If other potential Suppliers submit a Statement of Capabilities that meet The University’s requirements as set out in the ACAN, The University may proceed to a competitive procurement process. If no other Supplier submits a Statement of Capabilities on or before the closing date/time, a contract may be awarded to the above-noted pre-selected Supplier.
