Description of Procurement
The primary objective of this Request for Proposal is to retain a supplier for general contractor services for exterior wall and stairs restoration of two (2) separate projects, as further described in Appendix B - Deliverables (the “Deliverables”).
For clarity, the RFP is comprised of two (2) Categories:
Category A: RCC Exterior Cladding Restoration; and
Category B: SID Exterior Stucco and Stairs Restoration.
Category A: RCC Exterior Cladding Restoration –
The Successful Proponent will repair the damaged exterior cladding and cavity wall components, and replace mortar joints and weather sealants that reached the end of its service life in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications at 80 Gould Street, Toronto ON no later than August 2021 in order to eliminate the existing fall hazards and prevent any further deterioration.
Category B: SID Exterior Stucco and Stairs Restoration –
The Successful Proponent will repair the existing SID building in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications at 302 Church Street, Toronto ON no later than December 2020 in order to bring the deteriorated areas into a state of good repair and prevent further deterioration.
Proponents may submit Proposals for one (1) Category or to two (2) Categories. Ryerson will evaluate and award each Category independently.
Ryerson intends to execute a separate CCDC-2 with supplementary conditions provided in Appendix E for each Category. This RFP will result in two (2) independent Agreements.
The procurement may involve negotiation.
An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca on or before September 29, 2020, 11:00:00 a.m. Toronto Time.
The submissions will not be opened publicly.

Contract Details
Category A - The term of the Final Agreement for Category A is approximately one (1) year or the completion of the work.
The successful completion of the work for this Agreement is expected to be on or before August 2021.
Category B - The term of the Final Agreement for Category B is approximately one (1) year or the completion of the work.
The successful completion of the work for this Agreement is expected to be on or before December 2020.
