Description of Procurement

The primary objective of this Request for Proposal is to retain a supplier for general contractor services for concrete restoration of three (3) separate projects, as further described in Appendix B - Deliverables (the “Deliverables”).

For clarity, the RFP is comprised of three (3) Categories:

Category A: ENG Concrete Column Repair & Restoration
Category B: KHW Exterior Staircase Restoration
Category C: ARC Main Entrance Staircase Repair & Restoration

Category A: ENG Concrete Column Repair & Restoration – The objective of the project is to remediate damages to the north-west corner column of the George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre (ENG building). Project is located at 245 Street, Toronto ON and shall be completed no later than January 8th, 2021 in order to bring the ENG building north-west entrance into a state of good repair.
Category B: KHW Exterior Staircase Restoration – The objective of the project is to identify and remediate access issues on the Kerr Hall West quad entrance staircase. Project is located at 379 Victoria Street, Toronto ON and shall be completed no later than the June 18th, 2021 in order to bring the Kerr Hall West quad entrance staircase into a state of good repair.

Category C: ARC Main Entrance Staircase Repair & Restoration – The objective of the project is to identify and remediate access issues on the ARC building Church Street entrance staircase. Project is located at 325 Church street, Toronto ON and shall be completed no later than February 19th, 2021 in order to bring the ARC building Church Street entrance into a state of good repair.

Proponents may submit Proposals for one (1) Category or to two (2) Categories or to three (3) Categories. Ryerson will evaluate and award each Category independently.

Ryerson intends to execute a separate CCDC-2 with supplementary conditions provided in Appendix E for each Category. This RFP will result in three (3) independent Agreements.

The procurement may involve negotiation.

An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca on or before November 6, 2020, 11:00:00 a.m. Toronto Time.

The submissions will not be opened publicly.

Financial/Pricing Submission Requirements

Pricing Part I - Base Bid Fee (applicable to Categories A&B&C. Submit one(1) price per Category, up to a maximum of three (3) prices.)
Pricing Part II - Multiple Category Bonus (applicable to all Categories, Proponents must submit to more than one (1) Category to be applicable)

Contract Details

Category A (ENG) - The term of the Final Agreement for Category A is approximately one (1) year or the completion of the work.

Category B (KHW) - The term of the Final Agreement for Category B is approximately one (1) year or the completion of the work.

Category C (ARC) - The term of the Final Agreement for Category C is approximately one (1) year or the completion of the work.
