Note that in order to receive the current employee information documents, prospective suppliers will be obliged to execute a confidentiality agreement in accordance the terms of the procurement documents.
Description of Procurement
This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is an invitation to prospective proponents to submit a Proposal indicating their organization’s capability and resources in providing executive search services for three (3) leadership roles in the Office of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation at Ryerson University (‘Ryerson’), as further described in Appendix B – Deliverables.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca on or before 11:00 a.m. January 29th 2019.
The submissions will not be opened publicly.

Mandatory Submission Requirements
File #1 - Proposal Acknowledgement Form
- Each Proponent shall complete, sign and submit a Proposal Acknowledgement Form. The Proposal Acknowledgement Form forms part of the Proposal.
Scored Submission Requirements
File # 2 - Company Information
- Provide a company/entity profile including but not limited to: company/entity history, description of services provided (including project work), number of years in business, number of employees, company organizational chart, number of location, list of current customer base, a list of certifications, licenses, affiliations, accreditations, associations that are relevant to the Deliverables.
File # 3 - Experience
- Provide a description of company/entity experience and qualifications that are relevant to the Deliverables.
- Describe the search methodology and timeline for selection of the three (3) leadership roles your firm will undertake, and indicating candidate sourcing strategies to ensure a qualified, diverse candidate pool.
- Provide examples of candidate sourcing methods used in the past that yielded a diverse and highly qualified applicant pool and the results of the methods employed.
- Describe how you will ensure all candidates are treated with the highest degree of professionalism, respect and confidentiality.
- Describe the follow-up process you will undertake with the successful candidate and client to support a successful transition into the role.
- Provide three (3) client examples of executive searches you have conducted for similar or comparable positions in post-secondary institutions or the broader not-for profit sector or private sector.
File # 4 - Project Management Team
- Provide the following:
- Proposed project management team that will lead, direct, manage and supervise the executive search services for the search for the three (3) leadership roles.
- Biographies or CV’s of all proposed project team members. Bios or CV’s are to outline the overall responsibility assigned to the individual for the Executive Search Services and provide information on the background and work experience of the proposed individual, including any applicable training, licensing or certification(s).
File # 5 - Understanding the Services
- Provide specifics on your firm’s quality guarantee.
- Explain your firm’s service guarantee for executive search/recruitment services;
- Describe the follow-up process you will undertake with unsuccessful candidates to safeguard Ryerson reputation as a best in class employer.

The Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement, Chapter 9
Contract Details
The term of the Final Agreement is upon completion of the Deliverables.
