Description of Procurement
The project is in the George Vari Engineering and Computing Center Building at Ryerson located at 245 Church Street. The mechanical and elevator machine rooms in the Lower Level and Sub-Lower Level have high room temperature. The scope of work includes upgrading the cooling and ventilation equipment in the Lower Level and the Sub-Lower Level mechanical rooms, elevator machine room and Penthouse, providing new 2” condensing glycol HVAC piping from the Penthouse main riser to serve new heat pumps and A/C units in the Lower Level and Sub-Lower Level, providing new rectangular opening through slab for new mechanical duct and enlargement of existing HVAC pipe openings through slab, providing structural support for new louvre opening through existing brick veneer for mechanical duct, demolition of the hard and Acoustic Ceiling Tiles (ACT) ceiling at the Lower Level, reinstatement and painting of the hard and ACT ceiling after installation of mechanical systems in the ceiling space at the Lower Level, opening of exterior wall on north elevation at Level 1 to accommodate installation of new mechanical louvre, and enclosing Mechanical HVAC system at Sub-Lower Level.
The procurement is not anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.
