Note that in order to receive the current employee information documents, prospective suppliers will be obliged to execute a confidentiality agreement in accordance the terms of the procurement documents.
Description of Procurement
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to Prospective Proponents to submit a proposal for the services of a licensed architect to provide creative services relating to campus architecture and public space in support of University Advancement and fundraising.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Submissions must be submitted electronically at http://ryerson.bonfirehub.ca on or before 11:00 a.m. June 12th 2019.
The submissions will not be opened publicly.

Mandatory Submission Requirements
File #1 - Proposal Acknowledgement Form
- Each Proponent shall complete, sign and submit a Proposal Acknowledgement Form. The Proposal Acknowledgement Form forms part of the Proposal.
Scored Submission Requirements
File # 2 - Proponent Team and Qualifications - Please note that this file must not exceed a maximum of 8 pages (Excluding CV’s). Any pages that exceed the maximum number of pages will not be reviewed or evaluated.
- A cover page stating your firm name, Proponent team lead and key contact information, statement of single representation or joint venture, and list any sub consultants to the firm for this assignment. The team lead shall be the person who will provide the primary creative direction and will develop the architectural concepts.
- Summary of the firm area of expertise, comparable experience and specific availability, capacity, and commitment. Include the same for all sub consultants. For the purposes of this RFP, comparable experience means conceptual design for projects with similar conditions and deliverables, familiarity and experience with post-secondary education campus design and aesthetics.
- CV’s of the Team Lead and other key Proponent team members providing examples that highlight relevant project experience on comparable projects to this scope of work CV’s may be attached as an appendix to File #2 and do not count towards the file submission page limit. The Successful Proponent may change personnel with approval from Ryerson.
File # 3 - Prior Project Experience
- Provide a description of company experience and qualifications that are relevant to the Deliverables.
- Provide examples of up to five (5) prior projects of similar scope showing examples of sketches, images, renderings and other documents prepared for conceptual design on these projects. It is not necessary that the example project concepts were developed further or implemented.
File # 4 - Approach to the Project
- Provide a description of how the proponent approaches conceptual design for a multi-building campus and public spaces. Outline how you would propose to develop a unifying thematic consistency across the Ryerson campus, which has buildings of various ages and typologies. Provide a description of elements that could be utilized to tie diverse architectural elements together and provide a strong sense of identity and place to the Ryerson campus.
- Describe how you propose to engage users and solicit input from the Ryerson project sponsors.
- Describe how your firm will provide rapid turnaround when required. Describe and demonstrate the level of detail that could be provided by your firm in a short period of time (i.e under two weeks) and over a longer period (within one month)
- Project location, client/ building type, year completed, construction value, relevant scope.

Contract Details
The term of the Final Agreement is upon successful completion of the Deliverables.
