DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this is to enter a one-time only contract for the Redesign and Development of the institutional website (www.ocadu.ca).
The current institutional website (“the website”), implemented in 2013/14 as part of a university-wide rebranding, has begun to reach its end-of-life due to changing priorities, technologies, and brand positioning. Throughout internal evaluation, the website has consistently been identified as a key area for growth and improved service delivery.
As part of this investment in the public facing website, the University is in the process of globally evaluating and improving service delivery for students, and by extension, the student experience. As part of this effort, the institutional website will have a new vision and scope, focused on servicing our core public-facing audiences. Currently, the website serves many internal stakeholders, and a concurrent project (outside the scope of this RFP) is underway to migrate this internal content to a separate internal platform, leaving the current website to be re-visioned. We anticipate the number of pages on the new site will be less than 50-75% of the current site.
OCAD University is in the process of evaluating and planning this new online presence with the objective to:
Proponents must have demonstrated proficiency and experience building sites with Drupal and must have worked with a cultural institution (for example a museum, gallery, cultural non-profit, arts group etc.) or post-secondary institution.
