Description

Background and Purpose
McMaster University invites qualified suppliers to submit proposals for a PROTEIN CRYSTALLOGRAPHY ROBOT in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals.
Bidders must quote the entire bid. Partial bids will not be accepted.
Scope/Objective
The Protein Crystallography Robot is a fully equipped instrument capable for use in understanding the molecular basis of antibiotic action and resistance and in natural product drug discovery, and synthetic biology to improve the existing chemical scaffolds to overcome antibiotic resistance.
The requested infrastructure will be an instrument capable of automated operation for the production of high-throughput protein crystallization experiments, using sitting drop, hanging drop, LCP screening and microseeding techniques.
Term
Pricing must include a minimum one (1) year warranty and on-site service including all parts and labour for the Protein Crystallography Robot
McMaster requests that Proponents also provide pricing for an optional additional three (3) years on-site full parts and labour warranty plus two (2) years to be renewed on a yearly basis as requested, at McMaster’s sole discretion.
