McMaster University invites qualified suppliers to submit proposals for the Alumni Magazine Production and Mailing in accordance with the terms of this Proposal Call.
The production and mailing of McMaster University’s Alumni Magazines: The McMaster Times (aka MAC: The News Magazine), and Network. The Supplier must bid on the entire proposal; no partial bids will be accepted.
The contract with be for the period of three (3) years with an option to extend two additional one (1) year extensions for a total of five (5) years, at the sole discretion of McMaster University. Prices are to remain firm for the initial 3 year term.
1) McMaster Times
The Times is produced twice per year: Spring and Fall. The magazine is handed off to the printer in March and late August each year. The printer is responsible for all pre-press preparations, provision of colour proofs, polybagging, address inkjetting, sorting, packaging and distribution to Canada Post, US Postal Service and to McMaster campus.
Optional Mailing: There is also a requirement for mailing (approximately 5,000 pieces) to alumni outside Canada and the United States. A third party now coordinates this on behalf of the University but this service should be included in your proposal (at a per piece rate), as per Section 7- Summary Proposal Form. McMaster may choose to award this option to the successful proponent at the sole discretion of McMaster University.
2) Faculty of Health Sciences Network Magazine
Production Schedule: Twice per year - June and December
